Datsun by Nissan

so a co-worker told me he was at a goodwill car lot this weekend (out of town) and he saw a truck for sale for under $200 runs-ish, and on the back it says, DATSUN BY NISSAN.

I don’t know datsun and Nissan well enough to know what truck model it could be, and id rather not make the drive.

anyone know off hand what trunk it could be

Probably a 720 around '82 or '83. They put that on around the time of the nane change to get people used to the new Nissan name that was coming.

front disk brakes swap right, shifter boots, stearing wheel blah blah blah?

Not the brakes. Possibly the shifter boot and steering wheel... or you can go to a wrecking yard and buy those for $5

 

If you want a parts truck, stick with 1973-79

The 2wd front discs/rotors/hubs etc, are the same as the '78-'79 620 until the Z24 motor was used in '83 or thereabouts. The small rubber boot on the top of the tranny will swap for sure, stering wheel has same spline as 620 but may not engauge the turn signal canceling pins properly. Rims will swap (14"), ST models use 15" rims some if not all are aluminum.
