SIXTY-NINE-DIME Posted October 6, 2009 Report Share Posted October 6, 2009 im kinda in desperate need of carb. mine gave up on me (bad gas isnt to good for carbs) and im moving on the 15 and need my car running by then so i can get to and from work. perferably a weber since thats what im running but let me know what you have. thank you! datzenmike Posted October 6, 2009 Report Share Posted October 6, 2009 Replace the fuel filter first. Now since you have to take your carb off to replace it anyway, take it apart and clean it. Easier than you think, good to go. Link to comment

Rubber man has a few hitachis, they are dirty but complete, he didnt want much for them, they are easy to rebuild, i did 2 last sunday, that berryman carb dip is the trick, i can get you a stock hitachi myself for cheap but it will need to be rebuilt as well, let me know Link to comment

SIXTY-NINE-DIME Posted October 7, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 7, 2009 trust me if i know one thing, its bad gas and fuel delivery problems. the fuel filters and pump are new. the one thing that i didnt think to replace again would be accel pump. the carb needs to be retted and a float is cracked thats why im looking for another one. i found a weber locally thats in great running condition for 100 bucks so im gonna go with that thanks guys:) Link to comment
