Bleach
So since you didn't answer the question on what kind of transmission are we to assume they are from the years where the car had an available turbo? So CA20e 5-speed and CA18et 5-speed? (RWD) Link to comment
Nismo Silvia
Well since the newer 200sx's are all na You would think an 85 turbo and an 87 na Link to comment
Bleach
That would be one way to guess if you had confirmed both the transmissions you are selling were from the same generation of 200SX and fit the 4-cylinder engine only. Link to comment
Skib
Well since the newer 200sx's are all na You would think an 85 turbo and an 87 na you'd also think you'd fill out a for sale ad with all the proper info instead of making possible buyers guess ;) Link to comment
datzenmike
Well since the newer 200sx's are all na You would think an 85 turbo and an 87 na CA18ETs were available from '84-'86 in the 200sx..... till '88 in Canada. If your profile was filled out we could eliminate Canada maybe. The FS5W71B 5spd used in the 200sx during these years (assume outside Canada) use totally different gear sets and some bearings between the turbo and normally aspirated engines. A turbo transmission is different from a N/A. So do you have one of each and do you know which is which and what years? Edited September 24, 2009 by datzenmike Link to comment
