my alternator decided to take a crap on me last night and i cant remember what i robbed it off but its not the stock 25 amp unit so i went to rock auto and ordered a replacement unit and i want to ask if it will fit a 620 with a L20B and if this unit i ordered is internaly regulated

i ordered this to be a reman 60 amp unit for a 1979 200sx did i just waste my cash on something i cant use even tho it was a good deal and i dont really care for the saturn alt swap

Do you have a external volt reg or not???? I dont know trucks myself when was the cutoff.

 

 

a 79 200sx I believe is a INTERNAL reg alternator.

 

 

alot of 620 trucks used ther smaller alternator cause the idler arm would get in the way with a bigger alternator.

78 is internal.

It should work. Both your '78 and the 200sx were internally regulated so go for it.
