what size is the crank bolt that holds the crank pulley on?

All the same 27mm I believe. Place in gear and have someone hold the brakes on. Use a deep socket if you can and let the ratchet dangle down. Give it a sudden, hard kick towards the driver's side to loosen.

 

I have never had to use a puller to get any L or Z motor pulley off. Just tap the back of the pulley while pulling it forward. Never had to hammer it just keep tapping firmly, comes right off.

I use the breaker bar then a cherry bomb muffler on top of that for more levergae.

If the ratchet is hanging down a kick to the driver's side will do it. ... unless you mean in Australia????

But if the wrench is point up? Better to say turn it anti-clockwise. That's the same in USA and AUS.

i went and got a 27mm socket and i turned it counter-clockwise and it came right off. thanx for all your help though the PM's. you guys answered a lot of my questions and were very helpful!
