datzenmike
I worked it out before. It's below 8 to 1. You really need the 2.8cc dish KA24E pistons. (not the DE ones) I'll post it when I get home. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Stock Z24 motor with KA24E head on it has a compression of 7.614 Swapping to KA24E pistons ... 8.647 Z24 with KA24DE head (Z24 pistons)... 9.261 I always thought this would be a stupid amount of work to basically build a KA motor... until I saw one and how much heavier they are. The Z24 would be much lighter and they have stronger rods too! KA24E rod on left... Z24 rod on right. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q251/datzenmike/L%20Z%20Heads%20and%20Motors/720stuffKA24Epistonrod008Large.jpg[/img]"] Edited June 3, 2009 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
steve g
so a de head will fit a z24? i was told by many that they wont swap....i wonder what the hp gain would be....hmmmmmmmm....... Quote Link to comment
steve g
oh... and whats the stock z24 comp?...... sorry im doing this on my phone... hope it works Quote Link to comment
Icehouse
I never thought of the weight savings Mike! It would be cool for an NA motor, the only thing that would be undesirable to me is the DE block has oil squirters, it's gotta be boosted :D Quote Link to comment
