Half size radiators?

So I was thinking of using one of these just cause my brother's got one laying around, I like that it's cheap and lightweight too :D I've seen turbo Hondas using them before so they must work, probably enough for a 2.4L. Those radiators are made in china and exported and sold in Torranca Ca. I have one and they are not bad... But you can get them cheaper if bought directly.

So you've ran it in the CA heat/sun and it worked fine? L20b? Should work for me here then. It rarely gets warmer than 80* here in the summer time. That was one of my main concerns. Thanks.

Ohh no. Not on my 620, but on my 4runner. 4runners with the 3.0 6 cylinder engine have tendencies of overheating and with badly designed head gaskets. There a major pain to maintain. 200,000+ miles and this 4runner is still alive! Keeps it very cool... :cool:

i was thinking of running a straight 6 (turbo) with a mini radiator (so i can keep the engine further up and not rip up the firewall)

I've seen it done a Datsun using those small Honda radiator on a L20b motor.

I don't know what makes those small radiator so efficient on dissipating heat.

Maybe someone here has a picture of that red Datsun 520, lives in Vallejo CA.

is the jury still out or does anyone have a definitive answer? Will these adequately cool a ka turbo? hard for me to believe that such a small radiator will do the job.
