sly-yota
been busting my ass working on my new wheelin truck getting it ready to hit the trails this summer.... so two weeks ago i picked up a BONE STOCK 85' ext cab toyota pickup, she ran, she drove but needed work.. i got it with a "shittybuilt" front winch bumper, a detriot locker in the rear and a set of 31X11.5 tsl super swampers on it.. but we all know that just wasnt enough... so the second day i had it i rebuilt the front axle, installed the new 6" shackles, the new springs, extended brake lines, flushed the brakes, flushed the fluid in both axles, installed new spark plugs, new fuel filter, new carb, threw on my 33" swampers and went wheeling the fallowing day. sly-yota
well, i very quickly realized this bitch was NOT upto what i was trying to put it through and thats bullshit and not how i roll... so i decided to do a complete tear down and go balls deep in the suspension and step it up a notch.. so 3 days after i went wheeling i drove to a friends place and we started cuting, grinding, fabbing and making shit work.. Well i busted out another couple bucks and got to work.. so i threw in a brand new 2" body lift, custom built a hybrid leaf setup for the front that gave my 4" of lift and cut the front of the frame off and welded on my new drop hanger, custom made a new set of 3.5"X3.5"X1/4" box steel rear spring hangers, custom made hybrid 63" long chevy rear leaf springs with a terra-flex style double shackle setup, brand new 35X12.5 procomp x-terrain's on 15X10 rims, and then a bunch of misc little things here and there.... well now i need new shocks since they are WAY too short! i also have to do a few more things with the shackles and finish getting everything set up right. but here's a few flex pics, this is MAYBE half flex, i couldnt find anything big enough to drive up on and i wasn't about to drive around without my shocks bolted up just to flex on something...lol Quote Link to comment
