  1. My next door neighbor is a tire guy. He told me I would have a better selection of tires if I switch to 15" wheels. (for my 720) I like just plain jane rims. Suggestions as to what to take them off of would be great. (see the picture) These little trucks are stolen all the time. Nice wheels just get's them stolen even faster. Living in California often means, "you can't have nice things".
  2. I gave too much credit to the maker of those units. Those holes were, "punched". Only after a good look see will you know how everything lines up.
  3. Sure I'll help you. Your idea of using one long bushing is a help, in a sense. Alignment is all important! So first, all the holes need to be checked for size, and how square they are to the workpiece. Once you have checked for hole size and how uniform size wise the holes are, ........ Time to see how well they line up. A quick check that will tell the story clearly is to assemble the two units and slip a "snug fitting" pin into the mix to see how well they line up,.... as they are, presently. If the holes are some off the wall size,... see what you have for drills, dowel pins, etc. Best of course is to use either a drill blank or a reamer blank. Lacking that have something turned on a lathe that fits on the money, some light tapping is ok. These holes need to be a proper size "and" uniform, and in alignment, before you think about the bushing. Those holes are very likely simply "Drilled". Really unlikely they are even so much as "Reamed" Drills drift, especially after breaking through one wall of square tubing and banging through the other. When laying the workpiece down on a work bench,.... one hole can be higher than the other, looking from above,... one hole can be to the right of left of each other. All four holes need to be in alignment. Unless you intend to tailor make a bushing, hole size is very important. And you have to determine where to have a press fit and where to have a slip fit. For instance, the hitch can be a press fit, and the mating piece can be a slip fit. Or all four can be a slip fit. More like a "Slide Fit" "there has to be room for grease. Many a project has failed because tolerances where so close there wasn't any room for lubrication to do it's job.
  4. LOL No, I'm not Jesse Ventura,...... The subject of the Stop / Brake Light Switch was discussed and the clutch switch was mentioned. Just guessing it's present as a "kind-of neutral safety switch" That is too say the engine won't crank over unless the clutch pedal is down. I remember one car that I had, you had to step on the brake pedal for the engine to crank.. MM

  6. Same exact part I bought. There were a few to choose from. I chose the one made in Italy Prices ranged from $8.99 ~ $24.99 I paid $18 and some change for the one I bought. MM
  7. If you tap the hole in that plate,......... Better to not be using a coarse thread fastener. A "fine" pitch fastener will give a reasonable amount of threads to be reasonable. Also reduce the thickness of the head of the bolt, (face it off on a lathe, grind it down, etc) To keep things in about the same position, a bolt head thickness of roughly 3/32", (.090") would be fine. Lock nut from behind because it's Brake related,...... and all is good with the world. MM

  9. Son of a gun,..... looking at that part one has to think, "how do you set the 012" to .039" gap specified in the manual?" I was thinking that a member may have threaded the hole and plugged it with a flat face set screw, lock nut on the back. MM
  10. Stoff, there isn't much room for anything except something thin. Like Michael said, "a penny" I'm thinking there may have been a "Black plastic plug" in there. Has anyone seen a parts book, that covers the brake pedal assembly, indicating a plug for that hole?
  11. I noticed my brake lights were staying on after parking and walking away. I jiggled the pedal and they went out. Looked around and found the correct switch from a good maker,........ But when I get under there to swap in the new switch there is an issue. I took pictures but more than one are blurry from too short a distance. It's like this,.... the switch is a plunger type, open when compressed, closed when released. The brake pedal has a little plate welded on it's arm, (up high), that plate, when the brake pedal is at rest, compresses the plunger of the switch. When the brakes are applied the plate moves away and the plunger of the switch extends making the connection for the brake lights. Problem was, instead of a simple plain, flat, plate,.... This one at least has a hole drilled in it. The little plunger was catching just a bit of the edge of the hole, and sometimes slipping into the hole making the lights go on and stay on. All I could think was there was probably some kind of plug and it was missing. I made a small nylon plug, pressed it in, and adjusted the gap, (.012" - .039"), everything works fine. Here are some pictures for what their worth. This ugly hole in the black plate, is what the switch was coming in contact with. To figure out the size of the hole I used a pin set. The hole size in this case was, .362" / .363" I had to pass through the mounting hole for the switch to check for hole size. Nyon Plug I pressed it in with my thumb, it was snug. With the switch installed and adjusted. Has anyone else come across this problem? MM
  12. Well,...... It just showed up at my door. Delivered by some Amazon driver. Wrong Color!! Picture and description says, "Charcoal" Living in California means dealing with one screw up after another.
  13. Every time there is a screw up with a package delivery, it's always FedX. The latest for me,....... the package is showing as delivered and no sign of it here. I click and get some "AI" chat bot,..... no help there. I call and get a recording, voice says, "your package shows as delivered at 11:28 am today". "Have a nice day", click call hangs up on me. Tracking information shows it was here, in my city,.... then it shows it delivered to a city in another zip code. And some jerk off signed for it. So I'm out of luck ~Their new motto~ "Fedx", when your day isn't going well, use our services and we promise to turn that day into a disaster!"
