Yeah, im just too damn tall for the body drop that was done to that cab. And when i came up on the other two, i was able to nab a very clean and rust free cab for the build. But thanks for readin through and commenting. I'm just wondering, When did the term used from the 40s to the 70s, channel, become body drop, anyone know? I love the mockup pic, looks great!

It was called plum crazy purple. My 70 was dark green metalic with satin black trim. The Dodges were TAAs, too bad the production was so limited. They should have made a bunch like Chevy did with the Z28s!

I think you mean an AAR Cuda, I wanted one of those so bad, but even then they were rare as hen's teeth. I ended up with a 70 Cuda with a 383 Magnum, lowered it with 15X8 American 200S wheels, and the BFG tires that were hot at the time. It had the look, but wasn't as fast, or dependable as I wanted. Had trouble with the long doors sagging all the time too! It broke me of ever wanting another MOPAR, even though I still like the looks and the small block engines.

I had a buddy that had a 70 Duster, 340, 4 speed back in the day, and I was with him when he laid waste to a 440 six pack Superbird, Dusters were great cars, and not that bad looking either, until the mid 70s big ugly bumpers came out.

Bob, You are having way too much fun! As my grandmother used to say, that guy was holding on for dear life, LOL! One problem though, needs a muffler with a deeper tone, sound doesn't match the bad ass look, in my opinion, for what that's worth. The black 15s are the best look on the car too. You are my hero too!

If it's a solid body, and we all know it is rare, then it's worth it. As for the windshield, I have found, if you look hard enough, eventually you will find what you want, or someone that can make it for you.

If you like it, offer $750, and have fun! If you look long enough, you will find a windshield. :thumbup:
