  1. hey west coast guys, how common is it to come across cabs there? in good shape, no rust? mine is beyond my repair abilities i think. going to try, but i think next winter would be a good ime to swap cabs. and do all the paint and body work. just wondering if they ever pop up.

  7. yupp thats exactly what i need! and yes radio, i did pull the good running l20b out, to mock up a kade, now that i have the dimensions for the motor and trans mounts, i can get to working on the mounts. but, its getting nice out, and i dont wana wait to drive it cuz im half ways through a swap. its basically ready, just need new u bolts for the rear, get the battery cables ran from the box to the front, and get the starter, headlights, and hood back on
  8. nope no updates. im a bad datsun owner. havent touched it for a while. but i was working on it today, hence why im on here finally! got some stuff to do to it before its runing with the l20 again. like sort out the wiring the po has messed up, and install starter and headlights. does anyone have pics of the wiring on the passengers inner fender? mainl the colored wires going into all ( i think 4) relays? mine are al messed up, and i think thats why stuff didnt work before
  9. its junk, thers no boot. and generally new balljoints dont move to great. old ball joints are verry sloppy. but im sure that one is just all rusted and not greased often
  10. got arrested the other night... forgot to use blinker and got pulled over :( come to find out i have a suspended license, and have had one for 4 months without knowing! fml. stupid cops here fuck up everything

      had it happen - make sure to make a point that you did not receive any CERTIFIED letters informing you in the change to your driving privileges. It wont fix what caused it but i should protect you from driving suspended charges.

  11. we i got the l series back in it for now. its getting nice out here again, and i just feel like enjoying driving it. got the motor and trans back in yesterday. tomorrow night, ill button it up with starter, clutch slave, wiring , relocationg the battery as i have already drilled the battery tray out of the engine compartment. now i can drivce it by the end of the week and continue to gather parts for the ka24de swap
  12. also, what alternator do you think it has on it? the one from the car factory or the one from this newer motor
  13. ill toss the wheels on it, and clean up the headlights. maybe ill spend the night in the garage with some white rattle cans

  17. gotting interior and engine bay pics right now! since i want to know what im looking at before i get there, as its a little over 4 hour drive each way
  18. i think i can even get it for 600 with out the 17 inch rims! and kami said the toggle switch will only engage the vtek, not the increased flow of injectors
  19. tranny's fine, bolts up perfect to the car. also these are common motors. and what about exhaust back pressure? i guess i dont understand what your trying to say here.... none of which matters anyways. got anything helpful to say thats going to get me in the rught direction as to how i can make this reliable? no? didnt think so
