  1. hey that is actually the one i was looking for! its exactly what im looking for! would you sell it?
  2. id be there now radio if i had a pass port :(
  3. radio meet me at the border! aww man i wish i was closer!
  4. come on now radio... we need the pics first! and a price and might get shit for wrong section..
  5. mmk datzenmike... that sounds like a good plan also, but isnt the z22 the one thats fuel injected?? idk if i'd be able to find a wiring harness to make if a fuel injected car, and i'd also have to swap bell housings, cuz i already have a l series 5 speed
  6. thanks hang, i have been looking at thet for a while. but i am having some problems finding people who have actually done these... i think this is the one i want to build. as i can have all these parts... any one actually build this motor before? who? and where can i see the pics at? Big Bore 2.3L KA24 pistons into a bored Z20/Z22/L20B block. The small 2.8cc dish area of the KA24 pistons helps to preserve compression ratio even with the low piston deck height. Compression ratio with a open chambered U67 head is 9.9:1 or use dished Z24 pistons and peanut chambered head for 8.9:1 compression ratio. Parts: Z22 crank, KA24 pistons, Z22S/ L20B rods in a +2mm bored Z22 block or +4mm Z20/L20B block. s/2+r+p= 92/2+145.9+34.0= 225.9 mm piston deck height: -1.55mm below deck so i would have to buy that z22 motor, and get an l20 block and u67 head. also ka24 pistons please correct me if i am wrong...but this is how i'd like to do this, and works according to this ~ take z22 crank and put into l20b block, with l20b rods, and ka24 pistons, and a u67 head
  7. yup that looks close the one! except i thought i saw one that was not as tall, and the ends didnt bend down.. what did that happen to come off of?
  8. hey thats what im lookin for dislexic! im looking for the guys that have real experience! do you think you could have gone any lower? do you wish it was lighter? what motor and whats all done to it?
  9. yup it is a 72 datsun 510 with a l16.. anyone got any more info on what he is talking about with swapping on a l series head? sounds like some potential?
  10. i know someone on here has the little spoiler i want! it was in their avatar. it was like a black car.... every one post up pics of spoilers they'v seen on dimes! i cannot find it!
  11. that 3rd link down that mike posted is mine.. if you get the motor out of a s13, you will need to custom fab a rear sump oil pan and rear pick up tube also. you can cut the flange off the oil pan, and turn it 180* and well back together after you test fit to make sure you cut it right and what not, and then for the pickup tube, get some tubing and cut the factory pickup tube where needed to be, and weld the pipe in there and call it done, just remember you can only cut once... or youll fuck it all up..... i didnt take pics of mine, it didnt look pretty since all i have is a stick welder, but it did hold oil, and cleared everything it needed to. it will bolt up if you use the rummer mounts and the mount that goes to the motor from the car, and then the lower mount that goes to the truck frame. then it will bolt in. so there is some mix and matching. also it will bolt up directly to your tranny, then you use the starter off the CAR. you have to driff out the starter holes on the starter. and get longer bolts to thread into the tranny. on the car they put the bolts thru the back of the tranny to thread into the starter, which was opposite on th truck. then for wiring, ice house has a great wiring diagram. ,make sure you get the wiring harness and ecu with the motor. i ended us selling my truck before it got finished, all i needed was a fuel pump and mass air flow sensor and to put the interior together... good luck, and have fun
  12. well the one i seen on here was not exactly like that one, it wasnt that tall, and it wasnt as wide front to back... it actually looked good... i think.. maybe someone will chime in with a pic of the one i want!
  13. haha ya i hear they got lots of pressure, but as long as its got good grip thats all i care about :) when i replace this clutch, i dont want to have to do it for a while again..... so im willing to spend a few bucks... so from what i can tell im guna go with a roadster clutch, and im guna get my flywheel lightened down to 11lbs. soo... what is a really good disc to use? thats the only piece to the puzzle left.... unless the pressure plate should be changed to something besides the roadster.....
  14. hey guys ive been looking for a spoiler i seen on some ones car on here but i cant find it.. it looks almost like the one in the pic... whats that off of
  15. wel i needed this car done like today, so i bite my tounge, and threw in a used disc.it was pretty low milage. i cleaned up the pp and flywheel. i will be ordering a new disc, and a roadster pp soon tho, cuz i know this one probably wont last for even a year
  16. just got done replacing my clutch :)

  17. whats the motor comming out of first?
  18. haha i mean for sale?
  19. does any one on here have a roadster pressure plate?
  20. mmk where do i get a good clutch from? or are the ones on ebay just fine?
  21. hey guys someone swapped a 5 speed in my dime, and my clutch just went out.. what size clutsh is it? 200, 220, or 240mm ? it is still the factory l16.
  22. the fraim rails are not the best either guys.. but just at the back end. also, i think im guna have to get new strut towers. as for the cancer by my exhaust, im guna cut it out square, and put two cannons there to take up that spot, and if it looks too tacky, i will find a patch pannel, but i kinda like my idea better! and the paint? i dont mind it actually, just wish they would have done it right the first time and not use gallons of bondo and just cover the rust areas.. and i posted a picture of the other strut tower, and its way cleaner than the other
