datsun thought it as a needed upgrade as older potential buyers wanted a spare option that was easy for them... they wanted to be able to roll the spare out of the bed if they needed to fix a flat rather than have to bend over to get the one from out under the bed..... it was marketed towards the older market segment...
i disagree mike ... painted factory paint.... mounted with factory bolts...... built for a factory spare..... if its not from datsun its from a datsun dealer....
Bet you have never seen one of these! :) Datsun 620 factory spare tire mount..... off my old red 79 long bed... Mount a factory spare in your bed...
$40 plus shipping has all the bolts you just drill four holes and bolt it up...

Steering wheels ... one small... one bigger.... no horn button but you can get those at mooneys website... bigger one in good shape... its a grant... smaller one in not as good of shape a little beat up and brand unknown....

that wasnt even drifting.... if your going to drive like that find a open parking lot or the mormon church.... trololol... you will hit an old lady getting her mail or a small dog or someones cat... I even like ae86s .. but yours needs work and you need to learn how to drive it.....you also wont get far with that open diff.... glad your outta dattos :) super glad...
