I got out of 510's for a little while after my wagon sold off all my stuff and mentioned on Drit tracker I was looking for another one. He told me about this one on the CL's and I went and checked it out. The I bought it from said he got from a feidl in Kentucky. I didnt buy it on the spot after seeing how much rust it had and wasnt sure I wanted this much of a project. I slept on it and thought about the 510 Keeper and how easy he makes it look getting these things back in shape, so I lowed balled and haggled with the guy and brought home. It never been wrecked and looked fairy decent and drove straight. This thing even had push to start and a screwdriver key. Nice. I drove it right to a body shop to have the rust delt with and got some panels welded but them the guy got hurt and couldnt work on it, so had it towed to my shop and started working on everything else. The pics will tell the rest. The best I could tell it was never wrecked which I liked and it was L16 auto. I installed a L20b and dogleg from Yenpit and made sure it ran and then put the turbo on. Now its sitting in the body shop waitng to be painted.

What tires are on the SSR wheels when you bought the car.

Its pretty amazing what you can do with these cars, you could put a chop shop to shame. You and Yenpit totaly inspired me on my lastest feild resucesed project.. Except you make it look so easy, I had some rust to deal with and thought the way you cut and weld the dimes, I could handle this one. Yenpit got me going with cardboard templates and then I picked up some 18ga. cut and formed and made my own replacment pcs and bang bang it moving along.

Banzai, I've been waiting for you to post, what do you think about turbo set up? Last night tore out old struts and sway bar and today starting installing 280xz struts and brakes, red poly bushings and addco sway bar. This thing is tiiiights!

Yep stock SU intake bolts right up. The carbs are actually startingto come down on ebay. If we could just figure out the MODs they need. They are super easy to tune and work great.

Here is a pic of the dual HSR's I had on my goon. The guy is not real responsive about selling the carbs, too bad he could sell quite a few of them. I know he mods the needle and seat and changes jets, but sure what else.

Carb is from Vintage Performance Cast 90's and the top Hat is from CB peformance. PL510 thanks, I want to go right into the intake but the waste gate acuator is in the way, trying to figure out how to move it. I have a nice 1 into 2 connector that will bolt right up the manifold for the turbo pump into and elinamte the extra 90's. This will work for now.

Hello, I am converting 72 510 from Floor shift auto. to Dogleg. Ready to do install but was wondering if anyone could let me know the if I need to enlarge the floor shift hole or do I need to cut a new one for the dogleg. Thanks.
