  1. I have a carb bolted together with an intake manifold and exhaust manifold. I was told it came off a 79 620 with an L20. It has all the hoses and smog devices still attached. $35
  2. I don't have a paypal account for selling, don't know how to package a trans safely for shipping, nor who would ship somehthing that heavy. Maybe if you sent me the how-to's I might consider it.
  3. I was told the first trans against the wall came out of a 620 pickup like mine, but it didn't. From doing the research on Ratsun it appears they are all out of a Z. They all have the same identical attributes. The only reason the one against the wall has shifter ears that look different is because they are taped over with duct tape. I've never used or installed any of them as I am looking for a wide ratio trans with a lower first gear to match my 4:11 rear diff on my King Cab . Earlier 620 not a King Cab can use these mid ratio trans much easier because they have a higher rear diff ratio.
  4. I have three 5 speed transmissions for sale. All are MID-ratio and are 31.5" long. One for $50 One for $75 One for $135 Ideally I'd like to trade straight across for the same trans in a WIDE RATIO to match my 79 620 diff.
  5. Need 5 speed trans for 79 620 KC WIDE RATIO ONLY to match my 4:11 diff Must be 31.5" long Will pay cash or can trade my 5 Spd mid-ratio trans, 31.5" long Found. Not looking any longer.
  6. 5 Speed Transmission- $50 Cash. - No. Co. San Diego 31.5 inches long, no trades Fits Z’s, 620’s, Maxima, and possible a few others Shifts 1-4 great, won’t go into 5th.
  7. Was finally making progress going thru my 620 KC front end parts for a total front end rebuild. Noticed I had an oil leak coming from the low corner of the oil pan on the original l20. Dropped the exhaust, then the pan...Surprise! Found what I'm guessing to be a piece of the baffle possibly hammered by crank? There were no shavings or parts in the pan and there was zero sludge. I filtered the oil through a fine meshed screen and only found parts of the gasket. Ran the oil through a t-shirt and found no bits or metal shavings. Was thinking I could still use the pan without the small piece. Washed up the pan and was wire wheeling the outside to paint. When I was wiping it down to primer I noticed there is a 2 1/2" crack in the existing baffle where it bends away from the welded edge to the pan. I could have possibly cracked it while cleaning up the outside of the pan, but don't know for sure. What are the possible probs if I use the pan on the way it is? Do baffles do something more important than keeping the oil from sloshing around, cause other leaks? I suppose I could look for a pan at the upcoming Eagle Rock swap. Lastly, after I took the pan off and was cleaning the block surface...there was clear water dripping one slow drip at a time from one of the low corner pan bold holes. It stopped afer a couple hours and never left more than dollar sized coin spot on the driveway. Is there a void somewhere in the block that traps water? I popped the radiator cap and still had green coolant, and the clear water drip didn't stop or increase. What would happen if I blew a slow stream of compressed air up through the bolt hole???
  8. Will the carrier bearing make noise at a stand-still if you're jumping up and down in the bed?
  9. I had some loud noises like someone hammering on the frame with a ball peen hammer. It sounded like it was coming from the front end and from mid section of my newly purchased 1979 620 KC. :( I never found the mid section noises, but could feel one if I put my hand under the FR lower control arm. Based on advice from a 510 owner, I jacked up the truck under the frame and shook the tire from side to side and up and down. All tight. Did some research and realized I should have jacked up under the control arm in order to isolate and inspect ball joints...shot! The odometer says 48k that had an outside chance of being accurate, but seeing the play in the ball joints I'm sure that is 148k and I ordered new upper and lower ball joints and control arm bushings, bearings, steering parts, and new wheel bearings figuring that would cover any front suspension noises. I got everything off the right side and was about to figure out how and where to mark the torsion bar and remove it in order to remove the lower control arm bushing. (Can it come off by removing the front lower control arm bolt from the front without removing the torsion bar ???) That is when I found a lot of movement in the torsion bar. Is this play normal? And if so what takes up this play when everything goes back together? It sounds just like the hammering noise I couldn't locate from mid vehicle. I'd sure like to know the torsion bar is not the source of this noise and how to identify if it is damaged or not. The manual doesn't show pics or explain what keeps the torsion bar from slopping around under load. Is it possible the play at the torsion bar is allowing it to hammer due to the front looseness in the ball joints and control arm bushings? According to the Nissan service manual the truck vehicle height appeared to be set a couple inches higher than stock which may have contributed to wearing out the front end & steering so drastically? This is my first time posting video, hope the links work.
  10. Need a pair of stock dark blue door panels for my 79 620 KC. They need to be really clean, not faded , no cuts, and no speaker holes..... Ideally I'd like to pick them up in So. Cal. Am I dreaming? A stock unadulterated dark blue tail gate would be bitchen too. And what vehicle do those shiny chrome metal door escuchins come out of???
  11. Wouldn't you want the front end of the truck on the front of the shirt... And the back end of the truck on the back of the shirt?
  12. What was the final on the dash? Did you keep it or did someone take it? If you still have it I'd love to have it. Seeker

  16. Drove my farm-fresh 79 620 KC for the first time (barely runs - carb/vac/timing issue) in San Diego (dragged it home on as trailer) to CJ'sSan Marcos to a Ratsun meet. Nobody was there.
