Use a dual point and disconnect the retard set or re-time to full advance on the retard set and wire them on all the time. Points are points, dual or single they do the same thing.

 

If this is to convert to one of those after market Pertronix it would be better to get the later EI matchbox distributor and matching coil.

Do you have any ideas of what i should be looking for? The car was an automatic and I am having a L20B built and converting it to a 5 speed dog leg trans.

My builder said to look for a single point from a 68. California Datsun sells a matchbox type dizzy, may go that route
