I have a 1979 Datsun King Cab Long Bed pickup. However, I am missing the entire bed of the truck.

King Cabs did not come with long beds. King Cabs used the same box as the regular cab short wheelbase. If you try to put a long bed on a King Cab, the wheel opening will not fit the wheel position by around 9" too far to the rear.

The perfect bed would be from a '78-'79 as the gas tank is mounted on the frame. Earlier King Cabs before '78 had the gas tank mounted to the underside of the bed. You could remove the mounting points on the earlier beds.

I really appreciate you helping me out (I'm not very knowledgeable about this subject, but I'm working on it).

My dad has owned this truck for a long time now, and it's been sitting at the end of our driveway forever, and I've finally gotten to where I'm able to start fixing it up.
