  1. Trying to decide if I want to post a new topic for this or not. Problem: I need a fuel tank for this car. Second problem: The fuel door has been welded and shaved so no longer exists making using a stock tank a wee bit difficult. I also don't have a stock tank anyways. First consideration: I want to be able to actually use my trunk to put stuff in. So fitting into the stock location is preferable. I'm fine with opening the trunk to fill gas. Second consideration: I'm not fond of cutting out the spare wheel well and putting a fuel cell there for various reasons. I'm not going to completely exclude that as an option I just consider it sub-optimal. Third consideration: I want to keep this on the cheaper side, so no custom or repro $800-1000 tanks either. If I'm going to spend that kind of money I'll buy better tools and make it myself out of aluminum for about the same cost AND have the tools after. Potential solutions: Optimal: Is there a 10-12 gallon tank or fuel cell (w/sender preferably) that will mostly fit in the stock location? Basically an aftermarket one I can just buy new? Or an used one that is in usable shape. Alternative: I use a stock tank and change up the fill method. Downside is finding a good stock tank is also difficult and not cheap. Less optimal: I build one out of mild steel (baffles etc), pressure test for leaks, and then line it to prevent corrosion. Requires finding a premade pickup/return/vent and a decent amount of effort. Cost is low and mostly just my time aside from sender bits. Getting it not to leak and not look like absolute dogshit are the downsides.
  2. More test pieces dialing in the colors, grille badges. These are 3 inches across (75mm really) and designed to be mounted to a grille. Now sure how long they would last outside though. Mounting tabs are screw or tie wrap based.
  3. Lights installed and the wiring harness cleaned up. Almost time to move onto the dash and heater core area. I'm working back to front. Also, realized I may not have a grille in the parts pile. I'll need to dig in and look around. Also, hard to see but the 3D printed TPU 95 firewall grommet fit perfectly.
  4. He's got like 4 kids, I'm thinking it is obviously "good enough" to get the job done. I also I don't think it is relevant or anyone really cares. Why the Hell did this get brought up again?
  5. Test pieces some worked, some not so great. Been thinking about dialing in a few different prints and bringing a bunch with me to sell at Powerland or such.
  6. Datsun 510 firewall grommets, need to test them but should work based on the sizes I measured. Customized to fit the wiring bundle I've got going through mine currently. Made an extra because why not. Pallet coaster was just for fun but was such a neat print I ended up making a bunch of them to take to work. If anyone wants the file on the grommet let me know, I do still need to test if they fit though.

  8. FALSE EQUIVALNCE in Play 10 yard penalty. You are stating that the mere state of being MAGA is equivalent to a Lunatic and that is very obviously not true. Demonstrably all evidence would point to the exact opposite with the majority of violence and insanity coming from those opposed to MAGA... you know "Make America Great Again". But as we have seen time and time again Liberals love to Project their own issues onto their opponents. The guy who self-immolated was a Bernie Sanders supporter. In fact I have yet to see any MAGA supporter set themselves on fire at all, where as we are like 2 so far for Leftists (ex: Aaron Bushnell).
  9. SO just to throw a bit of fuel on the whole 9/11 fire here: My opinion: The government and others knew about the attack ahead of time and did not stop it. For various reasons. The buildings did fall as a direct result of the airplanes impacting them. I do not believe anything other than the planes were necessary, no controlled demolitions. The secondary reason for the collapse though was corners cut on the original construction and a poor design. This seems like the simplest and most reasonable explanation to me. But it is just my opinion.
  10. It was cheap too and gave more office space for the cost of materials so more money. The annoying thing is I've only ever seen that video on a smaller website that did a very nice and convincing analysis of the whole thing and I can't find the site. It had video from the opposite side and you can see how it is compromised quite clearly.
  11. Building 7 was structurally compromised by debris. I'll see if I can find the video explaining as it was very eye opening and had video from the opposite side of the building. Short form is those buildings were built structurally much like a balloon where the outside skin was critical to structural integrity, on the side of the building that you rarely see in video there is a large "tear" in the outer "skin" due to debris that significantly weakens it. In short balloon framing is a shit way to build buildings but was cheap at the time. Building 7 fell more due to shit structural design problems than anything else.
  12. Would save a lot of money and trouble if they just offered the other type of Canadian healthcare.
  13. The only way humans will survive long term is to spread out from the Earth, don't really want all of our eggs in one basket so to speak. "Or discover that a Kansas sized meteor is headed straight for earth" There have been several experiments looking to deal exactly with that in fact. 1. is the tracking of various objects in space to give enough time to mount a response 2. others have been involved in landing various craft on asteroids etc and determining their composition and 3. how hard it is to move them, as you only need a very fine change in vector to miss a planet. https://www.nasa.gov/news-release/nasa-confirms-dart-mission-impact-changed-asteroids-motion-in-space/
