What happens is I dont hook up the vacuum unit to the Vacuum advance port on a Weber??

Can I switch the fuel inlet on a Weber, if is not in the place where I need it??

Can I assume you are asking " What happens IF I don't..."

Vacuum advance is used to properly ignite your fuel and air at a time before TDC so that when it reaches it's highest pressure after TDC, the piston is in a perfect position to use it. Without advance, it will fire at the 12 degree static advance position which is too late, the piston will travel well past its best position to use the combustion energy and it will be wasted. It will lack power at low speed, be harder to take off from a stop and will waste gas.

I don't know if it CAN be switched to the other side, but by all means do so if you can. It looks a lot better with the fuel line coming in on the correct side.
