dat620
there are new old stock for sale on ebay, other than that try your local junk yards, get a couple sets as they r old and do wear out, if u take the whole assmy out of your dors u can lube them and straighten rods out..i have done this on my trucks and they r still working, just some basic maintainence..:) Quote Link to comment
BarryA
would lock, but the action on it was very stiff. In working through the whole locking system, it turned out that everything was dry and binding up - was able to straighten out the rods up to the lock knobs without removing everything from inside the doors (did have to take the inner trim panels off). Shot a bit of WD40 on all the connecting points plus a very tiny bit into the lock cylinder from the key slot (usually not the best solution, but graphite wasn't working), and everything's now working very smoothly. Lock cylinder was a bit loose in the door, so I pulled off the retaining clip and bent a bit more tension into the arms while the door panel was off - it's tight now. One other thing you may want to do while you're in there. There should be a grommet around the hole in the door top that the lock button rod comes up through - if the grommet is gone, it'll cause a rattle, so you may want to replace both grommets while it's apart.
