Bandit240
Ok, i bought a good cab, but the area under the battery is gone. My other cab has a good inner fender, so im wanting to swap them. Im thinking i can just drill out the spot welds and bolt it back on the other cab. I cant weld that thin of metal, so welding is out. Edz280zx
I had the same issue on my 280, ended up welding one in. If I haden't welded I probably would have pop riveted it in and then sealed it with body sealer. Quote Link to comment
Bandit240
Hell i hadnt thought of rivets to re install it. Ive got a rivet gun and a bunch of boxes of them. Im going to work on removing the rusted one tomorrow. Quote Link to comment
Lozer
thats gonna flex right out. rivets are going to pop and rip and the sealer will crack after a couple of drives. you can try some of that crazy body adhesives there using nowadays along witht he rivets and sealer. Or you could just do it right and weld it. Quote Link to comment
