Jester
I tried to find some info on the subject of disk brake "upgrades" for the '78/'79trucks. Didn't see anything in the three pages. Mostly discussing installing Fineline or Bee's brackets on a pre-disk truck. Is there a set of 4 pot calipers that will bolt up to the late 620 stuff? Rotors? Having brake issues with the new truck and want to upgrade if I have to do anything. Thanks guys. Quote Link to comment
Cuts metal like mad
d21 spindles bolt on... Not certain about 4piston calipers but having vented and larger rotors would be very beneficial. Quote Link to comment
Jester
So, I just unbolt the upper and lower arms, remove the OEM spindle and swap in the HB stuff? Quote Link to comment
BEEBANI
So, I just unbolt the upper and lower arms, remove the OEM spindle and swap in the HB stuff? yes, and if you use 4wd stuff, it uses 2-piston calipers. Quote Link to comment

No, you leave the arms on the truck, only unbolt them from the spindle. (guessing that is what you meant though). D21 spindles bolt directly on, Use all the parts from a 2wd d21 v-6 for the larger/thicker rotors and the two piston calipers. Quote Link to comment
