Skib
Yeah I would need help doing it, how long did it take you to sand down your Z? iv got quite a bit of rattle can time under my belt which speeds up the total time but i sanded and painted in one night. you dont have to sand it down to the meal or anything. just get it all cuz your just making a surface for the pant to stick to. and use quality paint, not that water $1 walmart crap Quote Link to comment
Edz280zx
I've done it in one night myself...it isn't thaat hard. Just take your time and tape good. Quote Link to comment

Edz280zx
Not nececarilly. Just may have to do two or three coats. Quote Link to comment
codycheg
Ah alright, is there anyway to get rid of the front bumper, or at least push it in on the 280z's? Quote Link to comment

Skib
Ah alright, is there anyway to get rid of the front bumper, or at least push it in on the 280z's? you can do a 240z bumper swap, or pull it off Quote Link to comment
Edz280zx
In my opinion, on a 280, it looks just as good to pull it off. If it was a 240, I'd leave the bumpers on Quote Link to comment
codycheg
I think i'm going to take it off because I really do not like how it looks, it also has rust all over it. Quote Link to comment
Skib
just be mindfull if you take the rear off the two bumper shock things things will be sticking out of your rear end. you have to drop the tank to get them both out 98% of the time Quote Link to comment
Skib
lol you ask alot of questions man, i was bouncing between both threads haha thats good tho, its how you learn. lol i can answer some questions better when i come by for that gas tank, then i can show you some stuff. i can throw some parts in the car if you wanna check em out or have questions about em Quote Link to comment
codycheg
That doesn't sound very fun. Would it be possible just to take the front bumper off and not have to do mess around with the gas tank? Quote Link to comment
Edz280zx
oh yeah..it just unbolts under the hood Quote Link to comment
Edz280zx
On the rear bumper, I have seen some people just cut the bumper struts flush with the body. If you do this just make sure you release the gas in the strut first. Quote Link to comment
