Search didn't turn this up - anyone know for certain whether 620 KC & longbed

driveshafts are interchangable?

 

I need to go through the driveshaft on the KC - if KC & longbed units are identical, I'll swing by P&P and pull the one in the 79 longbed they've got, do the u-joints and center bearing/support on it, then swap it into the KC (no downtime).

The wheel base is the same for long and KC. Frames are identical but for bed mounts.

Yes the driveshaft changes over. I used a longbed driveshaft on a Kingcab truck.

switch out of that 79 long bed, too - it's turned cold, my blower only works on high speed, and it's noisy.

Look above the gas pedal on the heater box. There should be some Blue wires with Black ends that plug into this:

Only the two blade connectors will show, and the wire wound resistor will be inside the housing where the fan air keeps it cool. Pop one out at a wreckers and pop it into your pocket. This will give you tour low speed.
