720Brisket
I have a 720 with the an l18 Engine was running fine until a couple months ago when it died on me in the highway So I checked the fuel line the one directly after the mechanical fuel pump (its transparent) I saw that there was nothing So I guessed that the fuel pump was bad and I changed it with a new one But sadly even after replacing the fuel pump nothing changed I even dropped the fuel tank and put the inlet hose directly into a Jerry can and nothing happen How ever if I put brake cleaner or fuel directly into the Carb the engine runs until it runs out Quote Link to comment

I cant believe 2 fuel pumps bad, espcially if made in japan pump. blow air back to the gas tank!!!!!!!!!! open valve cover and see if the eccentri fell off Edited September 11, 2023 by banzai510(hainz) Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If see through hose is transparent and full of gas it's hard to tell unless there are bubbles. Pull hose off carburetor and aim into suitable container and try to start. Is there fuel delivery? Maybe carburetor float is stuck closed. Tank empty? Fuel filter clogged? Fuel line from tank clogged or pinched. As mentioned blow out the line but take gas cap off. Loose hose clamp. Pump sucking in air can't lift fuel up from tank. Quote Link to comment
