Burningtime66 Posted June 28, 2023 Report Share Posted June 28, 2023 I have an 89 D21 that I am currently doing an EFI system delete on. I have converted to carb replaced distributor with older style vacuum advanced distributor and even went back to the older style coils. However now I am not getting any fire to the engine. I have checked for voltage all the way to the distributor and it is there. However there is still no fire co.ing from the distributor. Anyone able to give me some advice? Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted June 28, 2023 Report Share Posted June 28, 2023 If Z24 it will be a form of EI. Check both coil positive terminals. They should also be 12v with ignition on. The distributor module should have at least 3 wires. One is 12v the other two go to the negative terminals on the coils. The Z22, Z24 and Z24i in the 720 I think all used different color wires. I've never figured it out. I have the '84 FSM if that's an '84 distributor I can give you those. Quote Link to comment
