self cancelling signals

dumb question probably but where do i mount this aftermarket wheel adapter that came with my car? it has two pins for what i presume is self cancelling but i don't know what way up to mount it

I imagine you would mount it with the pins horizontally when the wheels are straight.  Those two tabs sticking in on the left side of the switch are the cancellers

excuse the bad photoshop, but basically the pins like this? and the things i've circled are the cancellers? thanks

Sorry, looks like I was incorrect.  I just checked my 521 and some other pics online and it's vertical, not horizontal.

I think it will make more sense if the blinker arm is moved up or down to show how those flags move into position. :)
