280Dan
Hey guys, I had an opportunity to get a set of SSR Interceptors for a good deal. I know I wanted to go with 15s and the overall specs are pretty close to what I was looking for. They’re 15x9 -36. Now I know you should buy wheels and tires to fit the truck not build the truck around the wheels and tires but here we are. I’m pretty sure I’ll need a spacer in the rear to get the fitment to the flare just right. I will be either bagging the truck or going with coilovers but it’s getting lowered regardless. I’m a bit lost on how to proceed from here when picking a tire size, since the truck isn’t currently sitting at the desired ride height yet. I was thinking of going with a 205/50/15 which will give a small stretch but have the desired look I’m going for. Any thoughts would be appreciated! 280Dan
So I decided to trust my gut and go with the 205/50s. I’ll post some more pics tonight once I get them on the truck. I’m really happy with the fitment, just enough stretch, nothing too crazy Quote Link to comment

280Dan
So I’m definitely going to need spacers when I’m ready to put the flares on but it needs a serious drop next. This is with 2” lowering blocks and drop spindles Edited April 8, 2023 by 280Dan 1 Quote Link to comment
280Dan
It’ll be a while before I invest in air suspension so for now I’d like to get another 2” lower. I know I can reindex the torsion bars but I’m a little hesitant on throwing 4” lowering blocks in. Any thoughts? Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Get a gym membership so you can park closer to the WallMart entrance. That positive scrub radius is going to build up your arms. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
If you look at the placement of the shims you'll see that adding more will pull the top inward. Be sure to add equal amounts of shims to each bolt or the caster will be affected. Quote Link to comment
280Dan
Thanks Mike I didn’t initially realize that the uca bolts up behind the shock mount instead of in front which makes more sense now. I’ll follow up once I get to attacking it Quote Link to comment
280Dan
So on inspection I can already see why the passenger side had more positive camber…looks like someone shimmed the drivers side but not the passenger which is odd. I’ll have to make a trip to the hardware store for some washers and possibly longer bolts just in case Quote Link to comment
