Wanted- Spring for ZX or 720/Maxima shifter

I am looking for this little spring pictured in the links below. It's for Zx shifters, same as Maxima or 720 truck. Let me know, Thanks

You might look through a hardware or automotive supply store for a similar spring and cut to size.

 

 IIRC the spring mounts to the top? Flip the plastic bushings around and have the spring to the bottom. This effectively raises the fulcrum pin lengthening the bottom half of the shifter. This will slightly shorten the throw. Try it

This kit on eBay shows the part number for the spring as 32858-Q0100, but looking at the my local nissan dealer it shows discontinued. You could call your local dealer and ask them to do a parts locate and see if any dealers around the nation show any on hand. Most dealers in larger metropolitan areas use parts locators to search for parts they need the same day, or for parts that are on back order, or discontinued.

Or you can go to the dealer and give them that part number and it will fit correctly with no mods.

.... if they have it still. '86.5 is the cut off for the 71B transmission. That's 37 years sitting on a parts shelf.
