Rusty Dawg
Hi all, I have yet to find any ID numbers on my transmission other than the one stamped near the dipstick. Does this number tell me anything? Thanks, Roman 1 Quote Link to comment

wayno
It's just a normal column shift transmission as far as I know, but I had no idea that you had that type of rear axle/drum connection either, lot of that early stuff changed as time went by to make it more user friendly. 1 Quote Link to comment
Rusty Dawg
So there's not specific model number to this trans? Quote Link to comment
wayno
If there is I don't know it, it's just a column shift transmission, I took the side cover off one to see how it worked a long time ago, that was educational, one post/arm is the neutral gate like on a floor shift, the other post/arm puts it in and out of gear, it is not at all like a Muncie 4spd.
