]2eDeYe
I use dikes (wire cutters) to hold onto the spring and lever it so the spring pops out. Quote Link to comment
phatdave
Got my Dikes out...hehe.....where do I start? top spring? install brakes try to put the spring across....wipe the blood and skin off of the brake shoe...then? yea yeah...I just noticed the shoes are upside down...that doesn't factor in...I just laid them out for a quick phote. MY BAD!!! :D Edited November 22, 2008 by phatdave I typoed. Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
One way to get them on is to put the springs on with both shoes off like you have now, attach one half and then just pull the other shoe into place. Make sure the adjuster is backed all the way off first. The little spring I attach with a pair of needlenose pliers. Oh, and I always disassemble the adjuster and put anti-sieze in it so it doesn't jam. Quote Link to comment
phatdave
I tried that and can get the lower spring in...I can't seem to get the thin top spring to "tuck in" behind the outter hub. Does that make sense? plu the bastards keep falling off. I need one more hand. Quote Link to comment
yello620
I also use the method that 'holic has described. Quote Link to comment
