AZ720
I have MSD 6A box from my last project. Wondering if anyone tried installing on the exhaust side? I don't want to lose my stock tack or having to buy MSD adapter. I finally got it back on the road. THANKS IN ADVANCE! 1 Quote Link to comment
weldingrod
Might be just me, but I like to keep any electronic device as far away from any heat source as I can. Just sayin'. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I find MSD terribly over rated. There's nothing wrong with the stock dual coils and ignition module. But people like shiny things and there is the placebo effect where the more you spend on something the more you will believe and defend it's use and efficacy. I bet no one could tell the difference between the two. Quote Link to comment
AZ720
I totally agree with overrated parts. I had Mallory ignition on my Toyota 22r with side drafts and it helped. I didn't install Schneider cam yet so I figured it will help. Also is it possible to run tach to negative side of the coil? Edited May 15, 2019 by AZ720 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 720 tach is connected to the negative side of the intake coil. Either will do. It also needs a 2.2K ohm resistor in line. After market tachs?... who knows? 1 Quote Link to comment
