datzenmike
Make sure the negative cable that grounds to the intake is firmly bolted to the body sheet metal. There is spot near the battery tray where it's supposed to mount. Likewise check the Black ground return wires for the headlights. I think it's on the rad support. Sometimes just loosening the bolt or screw and re-tightening them is enough to make beter contact. If you have hallogen lights, remember that they grow dimmer with age as metal from the filiment slowly plates itself on the lens. Newer ones are always brighter. Another trick is to run a heavy gage wire from the battery, to near the headlights and use relays triggered by the stock wiring to turn the lamps on. This will provide a much stronger 12 volts to them. Be sure you fuse this supply line. Do not buy lamps with colored bulbs claiming to be like or as good as HID, blah blah. They are CRAP!!! Do research and get the real thing or you will be pissed. There are lots of good non-HID bulbs out there that will make a nice up-grade but there is even more crap. You get what you pay for. Expect to pay at least $30 per lamp anything less and they are stealing your money. Edited November 14, 2008 by datzenmike Quote Link to comment
Bleach
You "can" buy H4 conversion housings and then buy HID inserts that fit an H4 mount. Your light reflection will be all wrong and you wont' get most of that light on the road. It will go into oncomming traffic. I suggest you do a custom conversion to projector beams first. Then swap the bulb in that projector for an HID unit. You can get the HID kits themselfs for about $100 off eBay. The projector beam will have to be your own creative project. The "projector look" conversions on eBay for $30 are fake. Quote Link to comment
