Knowing it could do this if there was precipitation or fog I would drive the first half block with the brake on to warm them up. This was also before seat belts and it was a single master cylinder. Rick P Posted August 27 Report Share Posted August 27 I guess the bottom line here is, if I buy the truck, which is very likely, I won’t be in hurry to convert to disc brakes because it’s not as straightforward as I’d hoped, and the general consensus is drum brakes are only dangerous under certain conditions, and I can avoid driving in those conditions.
