FrankenDime
Hey guys, I have searched but haven't found anything. I want to restore the vents on the outside of the pillars and took off the 4 screws but it appears to be attached from the inside as well cuz they do not come out all of the way. Anyone know how to separate the vents from what looks like the "tubing" going into the back seat? Thanks! Quote Link to comment
INDY510
You don't need to remove the "tubing" .. you just tilt them and pull down to get the "tubing" part out, unless someone did something weird to your vents ... this is what they should look like: Quote Link to comment
yenpit
Also, many had a white sticky glue/seal, don't know if factory, but may hinder it coming right off.......tug a little, BUT most importantly what INDY510 said ^^^ !!! These late 70-73 vents are plastic, so restoring them is limited! You could send out to re-chrome, but it is a PLASTIC chrome, so would send to a company that does that.......generally the STEEL chrome companies do not do plastic! Quote Link to comment
