datzenmike
AND he was not syaing it has it , as in stock windsheilds did not, its of better quality. Stock wind shields did not have what??? Safety glass? Laminate? I said they did and I would hope that a new replacement 50 years later was better quality. 1 Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Pilkington glass is exceptional in quality. Same as OEM fitment, but much better modern "Safety glass" - i.e. the plastic membrane layered into the glass to keep glass shards from taking out your eyes or injuring occupants in a crash. What he said. Naturally it is all much improved today, but to say Pilkington glass is laminated and implying that the Nissan glass will shatter into your eyes is just wrong. ALL Nissan Datsuns would have had laminated windshields of DOT safety specification for the year of manufacture for sale in N.America. ALL side and rear glass is tempered Safety Glass that will shatter into fine granular chunks and not splinters. what you said. Quote Link to comment

thisismatt
I got a new one from Richard at ProSource Glass International, richardt@prosourceglassintl.com. Total was $410 after freight, but that was with a small discount on freight because it got shipped with 2 other windshields to a local body shop. This is what I got from Richard, fyi: 1 Quote Link to comment
