Rasp933
Or do i really need one since it already has fuel return line going back in tank Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
I've never needed one when the return line was used, as long as it's a stock return line that's before the carb. I've never dealt with aftermarket returns off the carb, as none of my Webers have them. Stock returns lines are before the carb, and work well with higher volume L20B type pumps as well as stock-type electric pumps as long as the pressure is below 7PSI. In either case it would have to be before the carb. It's the float needle valve on a Weber that's highly sensitive to overpressure, as it doesn't take much to force the valve open. 1 Quote Link to comment
racerx
Whatever you do don't get the cheapo deluxe ones. POS leaks and does not regulate. Probably better off pinching the fuel hose with a clamp. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
The cheapo deluxe regulators are designed to be used in the return line. If used in the feed line, they restrict fuel flow. The best regulator is a low pressure unit from Holley. The cost about $40 and have provisions for a gauge. They are easily adjustable and do not restrict fuel flow. Here's a Holley setup in a 510. I also bent custom hard lines from 3/8 stainless tubing and used -6 AN fittings everyhwere. Stoffregen Motorsports
Here's another one in a different 510. Quote Link to comment
