That should be fine. (Wms is wheel mounting surface, distance from where one wheel mounts to where the other wheel mounts) Distance between leaf spring mounting pads on the axle is the next most important question. That will tell you how close it will come to bolting in on the rear. Otherwise, What is it that you are really wanting to know?

40 axles are plenty strong... Don't know what engine/trans/t-case you plan on running but the rear diff is offset to match the front, its not centered... unless its a really early one.

Cruiser t-cases are tough as nails, and if you're running a gm/dodge/ford drivetrain that will take a 203 t-case you can make a pretty cheap doubler with an early 3 speed cruiser t-case... I forget the years (before 73) its the one with straight cut gears.

If the cruiser axles are drum brakes you're going to probably end up spending more converting them to disk and figuring out your drivetrain issues than if you were to just get a set of 44s from a scout or some yota mini truck axles.

Id go yota mini truck myself just because of the ease of gear swaps/setup...

If you want to keep it in the Nissan family you could get a four wheel drive transmission from a D21. They are a married T case on the back of the transmission. Then still use your factory t100 tcase as your Doubler t-case but when you install it put it in at an angle so the output shafts are on the correct side of the vehicle to go to the differentials.

Otherwise start shopping for Toyota or GM parts because that's where most of the aftermarket is found

I think you could get away with that, yes.  Boxcar and Stoffregen Motorsports are the two best 4x4 guys on here.  Might be worth throwing a pm at both of them to see what they think of doing so.
