earlyvws
Got most of the front end welded back together. I will say I do not recommend using a 280z for this like I did. The sheet metal is the same only after endless hours of removing the extra metal. And Datsun Z spot welds are soooo much more of a pain in the ass. I drilled holes through them with a 5/16" drill bit and it still was stuck together. I normally use a 3/16" drill but and I don't drill a hole. Just the top layer. Needless to say messed up the metal a lot more then usual and then a lot more work reshaping it. Got more pics later. Got the L28 lower end done back from machine shop and got some T3 lower control arms. 1 Quote Link to comment
earlyvws
Fitting panels. Not all bolted yet. Machine work done on lower end. Bought a N42 head off CL turned out to be junk. Otherwise that would have been done. So looking for another head. How is an E88 head? I have one but haven't considered it. 5 Quote Link to comment
Swedishcadillac
That body looks sexy all stripped and primered... They nailed the design on that car!!! 2 Quote Link to comment
earlyvws
I agree. I sometimes think it ruins the whole thing by putting them back together. I think this body and a split window bug look more amazing when they are in a state like this. 1 Quote Link to comment
