metalmonkey47
My rotor is pretty trashed, I found there are a few L6 rotors. My rotor matches a stock l24 points rotor, but its a matchbox dizzy. As far as I see the rotor height is way different between what I have, and what I list at work for the car...i don't trust AZs parts catalog, so I want to verify. All L28e matchbox dizzies use the same cap/rotor combo correct? My L24 breaks up past 4000rpm and refuses to rev, pretty confident the wrong rotor is the cause of this. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Well if you have a matchbox, you have a matchbox. When did those come out on Z cars? 77? I would guess earlier than the rest of the cars. Though it could be 79 like everything else. I would just get one that applies to a matchbox. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Matchbox came out 1979, so get a 280ZX part. L28E from a 280Z used the remote ignitor distributor. Quote Link to comment

Which I think just used the same rotor yeah? Just what was below the rotor was a bit different IIRC. It's been a while since I've had to dip into the dizzy memory bank  Quote Link to comment
metalmonkey47
Turns out I had a points cap/rotor. Put on the correct one, that would explain why I was confused about the application. Points cap is way shorter. Quote Link to comment
