bananahamuck Posted April 29, 2014 Report Share Posted April 29, 2014 This doesn't really help either BUT . the 195/ wasn't mounted and was full of frogwater. 205/50/15 on a verified 6 inch rim,, a 195 should in theory be .49 smaller width wise. Ive owned 4 Dattos..still have the 521. it figures the only "custom" VW on craiglist is from Portland. This is my first german car. I bet my dad $50 the owner would be wearing a flatbrim and flannel. I measured and my wheels are 6.5" wide, and nobody here has anything smaller than 195/50s..so I guess I'll just run them. Ill have to roll my fenders up front. Nobody has tires smaller than a 195/50 up here so I have to hit up ebay..I rolled my fenders today, and in the rear the strut will rub if I use the 195/50s. I was gonna order 165/50s. The car has 165/40s and look too skinny imo. Any input would be wonderful..not looking for a ton of stretch. Just something to fit right without being too big/too small Quote Link to comment
