Lobo
does anyone know if it is a direct swap for my old one Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The same alternator was used until '77. A '78 and newer alternator is internally regulated and not a match Quote Link to comment
Lobo
im not worried about wiring im woundering if the pully is the same and the mounting spots so if im getting you the answer would be yes on being the same Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
LT15 alternator (internal regulated 50 amp) 23100-H7202 fits A14 F10 through '77 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, a 1976 F10 alternator is a direct swap for a 1977 F10. And vice-versa. 76-77 f10 alternator swap does anyone know if it is a direct swap for my old one Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
LT-150 is externally regulated and used on all A14 through 1977 as well as the 1978 F10. LT15 alternator (internal regulated 50 amp) 23100-H7202 fits A14 F10 through '77 Quote Link to comment

Lobo
i was talking about a swap to a 521 i should have been clearer but it will swap have to get a belt that is two inchs longer cause you have to have it out farther on the top bracket then orig our the fam blades on the it will hit the bracket and the one i bought is 60 amp Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 521 and 620 alternators are 29 and 35 amp output and much smaller diameter. The 50/60 amp alts for cars are larger diameter and on the 620 will rest against the idler arm below it. The 521 is similar to the 620 so this may be a problem on then as well. A tighter belt and it will rest against the lower rad hose inlet. On the 620 it is a very tight fit. I used a 720 block mount and a 280ZX lower water inlet to make it fit the 620. Lobo
i went ahead and bought the f10 one and i did what i said above and works great and extrenal regulated so all wires are the same and it fits pretty good with not hitting any thing Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well it's good then. I know they don't fit the 620 very well. Maybe the 620 idler arm is higher? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Good work. Thanks for the report, good to know the LT-150/160 fits a 521 by only changing the fan belt to a 38" version. Quote Link to comment
