led marker/signal,brake light conversions

any of you good folks ever see led lights on a 521? doing a little frame off with my son,gonna build a new harness. and we were wondering if there were lights, kits,available.thanks for any help!

The stock flasher in a 521 needs the fairly high amp draw of the stock lamps.  if you convert to LED turn signals, without putting in a flasher for LED turn signals, they will not flash.

i think you can buy the led bulbs in the old socket form..

I've "made" my own by cutting the back housing to fit the oval led tail lights in my 720. They're pretty bright.

 

 

 

Recently, I've been trying to make my own, but I don't really have time at the moment, or the required circuitry knowledge to make a decent working PWM circuit to drive them.

They are just LED replacements for 1157, 1156 and whatever else you need.  You do need to swap out the flasher unit too. They did make a big difference.

Hey thanks a lot guys! for the helpful and timely info! you have given me quite a bit to work with.I think we are gonna start at the beginning,with new fuse block/panels.probably a blade type from painless...whoever...but I was really thinking about the end user...lights! thanks again for the help.....Jon
