tutunui
I just bought an '86 King Cab. I'll try and post some pics. I was wondering what's the best engine to put in it without having to mod the mounts & drive train etc. Want to keep it stock and keep the original motor in the garage. Also need to know the best way to adapt it to power steering. Can anyone help? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Many 720s have p/s so just find one at a wrecking yard and get the pump and brackets, the pressure and return lines and the steering box and swap it all onto yours. The best engine for your '86 without mods to drive line and motor mounts is the stock Z24 motor. Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Sounds Australian ... in which case they have different motors in their 720s. Some have L18 s in them and they don't have EI dizzys. Quote Link to comment
tutunui
From New Zealand. Browsing now for Z24 motors. Quote Link to comment
