kawagon
So my 72 510 wagon came with a datsun comp lsd . I just got it running and need to put oil in. I'm in nor-cal so it doesn't get to cold what the best weight oil for the wagon. I did see that you shouldn't use GL5 in the wagon diff or synthetic oil with the lsd . Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I would contact several Nissan dealers and ask them to check. Better yet a Subaru dealer as they had the R-160 LSDs as standard equipment and made by the same maker Fuji Heavy Industries. Not sure about non GL5 in a differential. It needs the added anti scuff properties afforded by GL5 so check up on this. Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
the stock 510 wagon diff has brass in it. Gl5 is not recommended in the manual like it is for the sedan's diff. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Datsun Competition sold more than one type of LSD for the H190. For the clutch-plate type LSD, use limited-slip additive from your local auto parts store. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Sorry missed the wagon part. Definitely the H-190. Very likely the Roadster LSD. 1 Quote Link to comment
