New 74 620!

Hey ratsuners! My parents recently surprised me with my first car, a 74' 5-speed datsun 620! Its lowered 2 inches all around and i was hoping to get some insight from some senior datsun engineers. I need new shocks because they are bottomed out due to lowering it. I was wondering if any of you know what shocks to get for it? Also, does anyone know the part number for the shifter bushing? Thanks all!

Shifter Bushing: Nissan Part #32855-H1010

I like KYB or Tokico. Currently running KYB's. Some will say to modify Ford Pinto shocks. HUGE WASTE of time & money. They have a longer compressed length than KYB's & a far shorter stroke also.

What I'm running
Rear KYB: #KG5447

Front KYB: #KG4605A
Extended: 12 3/8"
Compressed: 8 1/4"
Stroke: 4 1/8"

Pinto shock data for reference.
Front Pinto Shocks
Extended: 11"
Compressed: 8 3/8"
Stroke: 2 5/8"

If you're bottoming out, you are probably hitting or riding on the bump stops. You can cut down the stock ones or replace them with shorter/softer Energy Suspension bushings in the front & cut downs should be fine for the rear.

EDIT: FIX TYPO

Can you link me to the shocks? Are you sure that bushing will work?

I fail to find KB5447 in any catalog.

I think you meant KG5447. :p
