dat521gatherer
I picked this up last week and got a great deal. Thanks Christina. :D It's all original with 168,xxx miles. I put in a ad in the classifieds for some smalls but zero responses. Hopefully after a few of you read this I might get a few of you to point me towards some parts. More importantly I need to get it running right. 3 Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
This was a dealer installed accessory from what I've seen in the accessory catalog. I'd like to get it re-chromed. I didn't like the emblem at first but if not many have then I got to keep it. Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
The trunk has 2 small minor leaks that should be easy to fix. I'm missing the jack bar I think and need a drivers side rear side marker. A small bit of rust here. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Nice! Black interior. A15 + automatic 2-dr sedan. Very rare. 3 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Did it come with the orange wheel chocks? Looks good. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The first thing I did was fix the transmission leak coming from the 2 metal lines rubbing together to the point of a hole being formed. I then proceeded to over fill the tranny then having to suck some back out. The transmission was only shifting when the pedal was floored 3rd gear hitting around 43mph. There was a vacuum leak at the manifold hose. I thought it may have been the modulator from reading the Datsun1200 site but tried the vacuum line first. Now it shifts like butter. dat521gatherer
The spring is missing out of the lower driver door hinge. It was in a accident at some point on the drivers side. I hope the door isn't tweeked. The maco receipt says 2008. I got all the receipts back to 1990. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
The rear defroster didn't work so I found that the fuse was bad then I took the switch apart cause it was rough and crunchy to operate. I just took some sand paper to the contact and a small dab of lube. It rocks back and forth like new now and the defroster works. Quote Link to comment

MikeRL411
Thanks Zilla Probably not but I haven't looked under the trunk mat yet. You just find your jack handle there! Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
I don't know if parts from a B210 would work. I have a jack bar, washer pump and the rear side marker off of a 77 B210. Let me know PM Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Every B210 body part differs from B310. But jacks are the same. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Sorta figured. I have never owned a "210". Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Any who, I was watching your 210 on CL. Looked like a great deal. It is awesome that you were able to fix the tranny issue so easily. Hopefully the "dropped cylinder" is a spark plug or wire. Either way very nice find. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
You just find your jack handle there! I just looked and yep it was under there. Sorta figured. I have never owned a "210". It's a b310 but for some reason as I understand it they were marketed in the u.s as 210's Any who, I was watching your 210 on CL. Looked like a great deal. It is awesome that you were able to fix the tranny issue so easily. Hopefully the "dropped cylinder" is a spark plug or wire. Either way very nice find. Yes it was great deal. But the engine is going to be a headache I can tell .I want to keep the smog stuff but it makes it hard to diagnose or get to anything. I tore off the smog stuff on my 75 b210 and put a weber on it and no matter what I do to the timing or fuel mixture it always diesels. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
The 75 B210 diesels? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes the 1974 B210 has a severe run-on problem. That's why the stock carb has an anti-diesel valve. You can buy a 32/36 with anti-diesel valve. The B310 carb has anti-diesel valve too. It is a great carb if not worn out. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
I didn't know you could get a weber with a anti-diesel valve. The b310 has had the carb rebuilt in 20xx? I 'll have to look. I do know when I bought the b310 the fuel level in the glass eye was close to being on the dot but now it's completely full. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Adjust it and it will run better. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
I am no expert, but I am driving a 78 with all of the smog deleted and a weber 32/36 installed right now and I have no "dieseling" problem. I also have had a couple of different B210's in the past with the same setup and have had no problems... That is why I was surprized he was having a problem with his "75". That aside I do agree a good Hitachi is the way to go. I keep a good weber on hand as a test unit or as a stand in while I get a Hitachi lined up. I do respect your opinion and advice ggzilla 1 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Nissan improved the run-on problem over the years. The five-speed (lo-po engine) cars have quench heads which are also less susceptible. Many factors in play. Quote Link to comment
ericsb210
Well that explains it. All of my B210's have been 5 speeds. Good luck on your 210, Datsuns have always treated me right. 1 Quote Link to comment
