angliagt
Yes - B210!- NOT 210. I have a '78 B210 that the interior is stripped,& need to replace the wind shield from the parts car,but if I remove the windshield from the parts car,how do I/do I need to cover it up from the elements? Is it any harder to replace the windshield/gasket on a complete car,or a stripped car? I've got to get this together/going soon - it's been in the garage since January 2006. - Doug Quote Link to comment
josh_t
it would be easier to remove a windshield from a stripped car because of the lower part of the seal being so close to the dash and because you wouldn't be worried about the headliner getting torn up. you could always put some kind of plastic sheet like (just an example) a shower curtain or some kind of plastic drop cloth and find a secure way to fasten it to the car. ggzilla
Duct tape. And poly sheeting. Quote Link to comment
josh_t
I was thinking duct tape myself but i wasn't sure if it'd hold in the elements. Maybe some gorilla tape if it doesn't hold? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Gorilla tape is a brand of duct tape. It'll hold in the weather for a while. Quote Link to comment
angliagt
After looking at the parts car,I realized that I have a spare windshield that I could replace it with. I'm not too concerned about the headliner (on the parts car), as it will eventually get crushed, after removing any usable parts. - Doug Quote Link to comment
angliagt
Pulled the windshield out of the parts car today - & I didn't break it! Replaced it with the one with a pinhole in it,& used Gorilla tape to seal it. Now to remove the scratched on on the Blue car.How clean do I need to get the body, for the new seal? - Doug Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Clean dirt and rust off. It doesn't need to be spotless. Warm the new seal using a lamp before installing. Quote Link to comment
