City Hunter
anything like early z31 brakes bolt up to these cars? Quote Link to comment
Bleach
toyota 4x4 brake calipers. Years are approx 1978-82. the trucks with the solid front rotors. They are 4-piston calipers and bolt right on. No mods to the strut or the rotor. If you go with the later truck calipers which are meant for vented discs then you have to change out to vented rotors on your Z. (from what car, I dont' know) I don't think the Z31 brakes bolt up. I think those bolt onto the 280ZX but the calipers do not on those cars. So custom caliper mounts have to be made. (all for slightly larger rotors) Quote Link to comment
nismopu
You can use vented discs from the 4 lug 84-85 n/a 300zx's and a half inch spacer between the caliper and the bracket. This is of course in conjunction with the toyota truck calipers, and the calipers weigh a crap ton more than stock too :(. peace. Quote Link to comment
City Hunter
hmm. I definately want some vented discs on it, but eh, maybe I will worry about it later. I'm going to start sanding and stripping on this thing tomorrow I think. Quote Link to comment
