datzenmike Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Usually if there is any option, the wiring for it is already there on the harness. If so, it will be taped up an look like a bulge wrapped in electrical tape and will generally be near where it's needed and will reach. You may have to carefully slit the electrical tape to expose it. 1/ Black........... ground 2/ Green.......... +12 The other two White wires must be connected in series between the negative coil terminal and the points. In other words when the points close current is drawn from the coil, through the tach and to ground through the points. 3/ White........... coil negative terminal 4/ White........... wire going to the points. If the tach does not read or not properly, reverse these two White wires. Quote Link to comment
